Volunteers from Whirlpool company on the Habitat Beius worksite

40 employees from Whirlpool who working in the company’s European offices have worked as volunteers Friday, October aWhirlpool_group_pic_P9100010nd Saturday 11 September on the site of Habitat in Oradea in the project “Caminul Habitat” created in partnership with Caminul Felix Foundation in Oradea.

They were covered a house with tiles, prepared the elements for another one and have risen up the walls. And all of this was made only in the first day. The next day, volunteers have made the roof, have insulated with polystyrene and have completed the plastering.

The beneficiaries of this project are young people who grew up in Caminul Felix and could not enjoy their parents who gave their lives.

“I’m 26 years, I was born in Oradea and I was motherless at the age of 12 years. My dad never recognized me as his son. Because my mother was alone having to care of two children, my sister Raluca, and me, my mother asks the help of our ant who considered that we will have a better life if we will be grow up at Caminul Felix” said Radu Nastase, one of the homeowners.

“We want very much to have children, to grow them better than we were raised. Often I dream how will be our house, where we will keeps our goodies and how peaceful place we will have. Therefore we are very excited about this project and we are overjoyed that someone is thinkRadu-si-Cristina-Nastase-P9100046ing to the lonely and forgotten as we use to be. Habitat for Humanity Beius in partnership with Caminul Felix Foundation began in mid July 2010 the largest project in Oradea. At the end of the project, 83 young families who do not known their parents who given birth, but were raised by foster families, will have a home where they will be able to give to their children a warm place to live.
