Tuesday 12th May 2009 – As part of National Volunteer Week in Oradea, Habitat for Humanity Beius in partnershhip with ASCO, organized the 4th edition of the event “Women Build”. Almost 40 ladies volunteered on the Habitat worksite in the poorest neighbourhood in Oradea. They worked on assembling the elements that form the roof trusses for the next homes that will be built for roma families on Voltaire Street in Oradea. The women were a lot of fun and they did a great job! Besides the many volunteers who came individually to the event, several NGOs sent representatives of the fair sex to the event: ASCO, ElSadai Center Anti-Drugs, Alternative Foundation, Good Samaritan Association. Also teachers from Kindergartens 46 and 31 returned to the site where they worked a month ago.
