The 1000 Euro beard

At the beginning of June, Mr.Ask, the principal of Skagerak International School, shaved his beard for the first time in 25 years in front of numerous students at the school who raised money to see this “miracle”. „I am very nervous because the last time when I shaved my beard it was back in 1984.I remember well this thing because my son was 4 years old and he asked me: Dady, how do you look without a beard? and I told him: Would you like to see?and he said : Yes, so i went to the bathroom, I shaved my beard, and I came back for him to see me, then he just start crying because he thought im not his dad. Now, that is not a problem anymore because his 30!” said principal Skagerak, right before shaveing his beard.

To raise money for Habitat, Mr. Ask challenge the school students to colect a sum of money and he promisse them if they succeed donig that he will shave his beard. The students loved the challenge and they manage to raise even more. “Mr. Principal didn’t thought that we can raise 6000 crowns and he said he will shave his beard for that.We were thrilled to hear his promise. We mobilize and we raised 8000 crowns (1000 Euro), and now Mr. Ask will have to keep his promise” said Jessica Ekram, one of the 170 students present at the shaving “ceremony”.

Skagerak International School collaborate with Habitat for Humanity Beius and sends periodic voluntary workers on our work sites.Mr. Ask has been in 2006 with a group of young man’s on Habitat work site in Beius and they work together at the foundation of the house with the number 100.Then he promisse he will come back and now got back with nine young people’s and a donation of 1000 Euro. The money have  been use for buying construction materials used to build decent shelter for the gipsy families in Oradea.
