The “Casă Dragă Casă” Association contributed to the modernization of the electronics laboratory at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (IETI) within the University of Oradea, a project carried out in close collaboration with Plexus, the main supporter of the initiative. The laboratory design was created by Designabil. This initiative represents an important step in supporting technical and applied education.
The project was launched last year, with renovation and equipment installation beginning in the summer of 2024. Thanks to the support provided by Plexus, the laboratory was completely renovated and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, providing students with a practical learning environment that meets industry standards. The total investment amounted to approximately 70,000 euros.
The completion and inauguration of the laboratory took place in January 2025, in the presence of the leadership of the University of Oradea, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, and representatives of Plexus.
The “Casă Dragă Casă” Association played an important role in facilitating collaboration between the University of Oradea and economic partners, contributing to the implementation of this project. “We are delighted to be part of an initiative that offers young people an applied education tailored to the demands of the labor market,” said Emil Barna, executive director of the association.
Through this project, hundreds of students from Applied Electronics, Networks and Telecommunications Software, and other specializations will have access to high-quality equipment and excellent conditions for practical training. This project demonstrates that partnerships between academia and the private sector can directly contribute to improving the education system and preparing future specialists.
“Industry cannot exist without collaboration with academia. Convinced of this, we strive to ensure that the equipment students have access to meets the technological standards of 2025. Our employees cannot use the cutting-edge technology we have if you, the universities, do not provide them with a valuable education,” said Cristian Gurka, General Manager of Plexus Services Romania.
