The most important event of the year for Habitat for Humanity Beius will be the Big Build. It is a special event made in partnership with The Good Samaritean Beius organisation. To be held between the 3rd and 10th of October, Big Build will be an accelerated build of 10 homes in just a week with the help of up to 250 volunteers from Northern Ireland. .
HFH Northern Ireland will celebrate their 15th anniversary of operations this year, and are going to commemorate the special moment by showing up in force on the HFH Beius job site. At the same time, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the relationship between HFH Northern Ireland and HFH Romania in their quest to send Irish volunteers to Romania through the Global Village program to build decent, simple and affordable shelters for Romanian families in need.
Many of the leaders of some of the largest companies in Ireland and Romania will be present on site, including Vodafon, Aviva, Deloitte, Lafarge, McDonalds, Pfizer, Coca Cola, RBS, etc.
