Four more houses in Oradea
On Habitat Oradea worksite in the week 15-20 iunie another 10 volunteers from overseas help us building the houses. They are 6 British, one American, one Chinese and 2 students in Estonia. Together with Roma families have worked the interior of the last 4 houses, built by American and Irish volunteers in the last month.
Volunteers have painted the 4 houses, beat the eaves, have fitted floor and built chimneys. They felt great during their stay and were pleased with the job they have done. “We chose to work on the Habitat construction site in Oradea because we are Europeans and we should help each other. Romania is a country that we like and whose civilization and culture deserve to be known” confessed Robert Holnes, one of the volunteers from the UK.
