1996 – The Start of Habitat
Habitat for Humanity was ‘born’ in Romania through the efforts of Adrian Ciorna who was key in starting the first Romanian affiliate in Beius. It was in October1996, that HFH Beius began functionally officially, when Habitat for Humanity International’s board of directors approved the Romanian program as a part of the international organisation.
